Summary: Christina exceeded everyone's expectations in 2003. Despite being the youngest player on the LPGA tour, she came out with a 4th place finish in her first event, and played well enough to easily maintain her exempt card for 2004. Look for her to play a more sane schedule in 2004. |

Greatest Achievements in 2003: As an unknown 19 year old, she became the first non-LPGA player to win an LPGA event in 7 years, and the youngest international player to ever win an LPGA event at just over 19 years of age. Also became the youngest to play in the Tournament of Champions.
Final Grade:
The jury is well and truly out on Shi Hyun Ahn. Is she the next great Korean player, or a mediocre golfer who had the tournament of her life? She'll have two years to show us what she can do. She showed a lot of poise in her win, and some exceptional shot making, but the real test will be to see if it translates to American courses, and how long that will take to happen.
Assessment: A surprising winner of an exempt card at Q-School, she played well enough to maintain her exempt status for 2004. She managed a top ten in a Major to boot.

Assessment: Minny had her first chance to play as an exempt player in 2003. She did well, easily breaking her best money total for a season and making several cuts. But she failed to get any status at Q-School.
Grade: B-
Assessment: Jimin surprisingly did not get exempt status this year or last, and has struggled throughout her pro career. She has yet to play up to her potential, or even close to it. But she is still young.
Grade: D
Assessment: Kim was another surprising exempt card winner at 2003 Q-School. She got injured early in the season and has never had a chance to show what she can do.
