Se Ri had not had much luck the one time she had played this tournament before. But it was a Major now, so she had to go. She played three solid rounds in horrible weather but was still nowhere near the lead. Then, on Sunday, she appeared out of nowhere with a flawless 66, including birdies on the two extremely difficult closing holes. No one else in the field could catch her, and Se Ri won her third Major. Fellow Seoul Sister Mi Hyun Kim finished second, the first time there was a Seoul Sister 1-2 in a Major.
