The Scoop: This event turned into a real Seoul Sister festival; by the end of the second round, the only people in the top ten who were not Korean or of Korean origin were Kristy McPherson and Ai Miyazato. In the end, the event came down to Jane Park, Meena Lee and Seon Hwa. Jane finished at 14 under after shooting a blistering 10 under par 62 to come from way behind. On the final par 5, Seon Hwa hit a brilliant approach and nailed a short birdie to eclipse Park at 15 under. She then had to wait until the final group, with Meena, reached the green. In 2006, Meena had beaten Seon Hwa at the Fields Open in a playoff. No playoff this time, though: Meena missed a birdie putt, and Seon Hwa collected her second trophy in as many months. |
