The Scoop: Mi Hyun took the next week off after her Giant Eagle victory. The next tournament she went to was this one, in Columbus, Ohio, just a few hours away from where the Giant Eagle had taken place. She got off to a consistent, solid start with a 4 birdie no bogey 68 to put herself in fourth. Her second round was awesome, again without blemishes, as she managed several key par saves, including a tricky 15 footer on 15. The third day, paired with fellow Korean Hee-Won Han, she kept a comfortable lead until the 17th hole, where she hit her shot in the water and double bogeyed. Forced to make par to hold off Han, she hit it over the green and against the stands, and then hit a tricky downhill chip to four feet. After Han made par, Peanut sunk her par to take the event, tossing the ball into the stands with glee. |
