Minji Kang was born in South Korea and went to college in the States at Truett McConnell University.

In 2023, she played on the Epson Tour, where she notched 8 top tens, including a tie for 2nd, and earned $112,000. This was fifth on the tour money list, which earned her a full card for the 2024 LPGA season.
