Kim enrolled at Duke University in 2018 and quickly
became a star on the team. She led the school to the NCAA Championship
in 2019 and the ACC Championship in 2021. She was also part of the
winning US team at the 2021 Curtis Cup. It was the first time the
visiting team won the event since 2008.
Kim played at three straight US Women's Opens starting
in 2018. She missed the cut in 2018 and 2020, but played well enough
to contend in 2019. She wound up 12th overall that year, earning
the low amateur award..
In the fall of 2021, she entered Q-Series, where
she finished tied for 35th, earning an LPGA tour card for 2022.
She missed more cuts than she made in 2022, however, earning only
$50,000 for the season. However, she also played on the Epson tour,
where she won once and finished 2nd another time. She finished 8th
on the money list and maintained category 9 status on the LPGA for
2023.
She had a much better 2023 season which included
her best ever finish, a tie for 3rd at the Portland Classic. This
was also her first career top ten. She made over $223,000 for the
year, 96th on the money list. This moved her to category 11 for
2024.
