One stroke over Juli Inkster and Pat Hurst
Grace did not get off to a strong start in the LPGA. She missed several cuts and was playing less than well for the first few months of her rookie season. Then she slowly started to get it together. By the time this tournament rolled around, she was playing well. She entered the final round with a one shot lead, but faltered, allowing veteran Juli Inkster to take a three shot lead. A rain delay allowed Grace to catch her breath, and she played better after that. Inkster bogied her two final holes, and Grace had her first win.
