The British Women's Open produced a most interesting
combination of winners this year. Jeong Jang, one of the shortest players
in the field, beat them all by leading the tournament from start to finish.
Her winning margin was four shots. The top amateur in the field was the
six foot tall teenage prodigy Michelle Wie, one of the tallest in the field.
When they posed with their respective trophies, everyone got a chance to
see the full range of sizes out there on the LPGA tour. But in the end,
tall or short, only one thing mattered: talent, and both ladies have tons
of that. |
