Soo Yun Kang got her first good look at a win
on the LPGA tour in quite some time when she put herself into the final
group on Sunday at the Safeway International. Indeed, had she but managed
an even par round, she would have won. But she was not able to do it, and
struggled all day. Here, it looks like she really had to hit the ball out
of a deep bunker, kinda a metaphor for the deep hole she found herself in
after her start on Sunday. But she kept her eye on the ball, and managed
a third place finish in the end, her best finish in nearly two years. She'll
get that trophy next time! |
