End of Grace's Streak
It was a great run for Grace Park, but all good things come to an end. Grace was on a run of 13 straight top tens, one of the best such runs in LPGA history. But after winning her first Major last week, it looked as though her concentration was shot. She herself admitted to being exhausted, but still persevered and played the Office Depot as she had committed to do. But a second round 76, her worst round of the year, ended her chances of continuing her streak, especially in a three round event. Still, she gave it a game try, shooting an excellent final round 69 to creep up to 17th place. At least her top 20 streak is still intact!

Soo Yun's Still Chic
But her golf game has definitely been better in years past. Once again, Soo Yun Kang missed the cut, this time at the Office Depot. It's her third missed cut in four events this year, and her fourth event was an unglamorous 62nd place. Considering she ended last year on somewhat of an up note, this has to be a bit disappointing to her. But hopefully things will soon turn around.

Up the Creek
Aree Song, who had three top 20s to start her rookie campaign and came within a six foot birdie putt of winning the year's first Major, at last ran out of gas last week. Though she made the cut, she finished well back in the field, in 61st place. Hopefully she'll go home, get a little sleep, and be ready to play next time. Another player suffering post-Nabisco hangover was Jung Yeon Lee, who went from a top ten last week to 44th this week.

Top Ten Bleak
Those Seoul Sisters fans who got used to seeing the top ten littered with Korean players must have been somewhat surprised at the results last week. After having 6 Korean and Korean American players finish in the top ten at the Nabisco, only one player managed the feat this week: Mi Hyun Kim, who chalked up a 4th place finish. Se Ri Pak hovered around the top ten all day, but was devastated by a front nine double bogey that proved the difference; she finished 13th. It must have been doubly disappointing for all the Korean fans: the Los Angeles based Office Depot event always attracts a large Korean crowd.

If Clubs Could Speak!
We did get to see a little of the old Hurricane Grace this week when, after making a bogey on the final hole of the first round, she disdainfully chucked her putter at her bag. Se Ri was taking it out on her clubs as well this week: on a couple of occasions, she banged her club (lightly!) against the ground following a poor shot. You also know things aren't going her way when she laughs after a swing and does not hold her famous pose. Don't treat 'em too badly, ladies! Next week they might be your best friends again!

Grace's top ten streak finally came to
an end this week
