Grace Park Misses the Cut
Not a good week for Grace Park. She missed her second cut of the year
by firing a 77-71. Unfortunately, she only missed it by one shot, which
must have been particularly frustrating! It was the start of her first
round that killed her. She got a bogey on the par five first hole, never
a good sign, then had a second bogey on the third hole, followed by a
birdie. Not great, but not terrible. But then she got a devastating triple
bogey 7 on the sixth hole, a bogey on the 7th and a double bogey on the
9th. She went +3 on the two par 5s on the front and shot 43. From then
on she played decently, going 2 under on the back and 1 under on her Saturday
round, but the damage was done by then. Hopefully she will bounce back
in time, as next week is the season's second Major!

Another good day for Christina Kim
Christina Kim has bounced back nicely from the problems she was having
a few weeks ago. She had a top 20 last week in Corning, and once again
this week shot a consistent 68-70-70 to finish 12th. In fact, going into
the final day, she was tied for 8th, but lost a little ground despite
a fairly decent performance. So close to her second career top ten, though:
just one shot away! With this performance she gained a little more ground
on Lorena Ochoa for Rookie of the Year, but will still probably need a
great performance or two this year to have a chance to take that award.
But anything is possible for the youngest player on the LGPA Tour!
P.S. Did anyone see the pants she was wearing one of the days?! Brightly
colored flower patterned they were! We are veering close to Michelle McGann
territory! But it's great that she is willing to keep pushing the envelope
on fashion; it may get her a guest spot on the Style Network yet!
