Michelle Wie is as popular in South Korea as she is in the United States, which is a bit strange, considering she is an American girl of Korean descent and not a Korean girl. Still, when she went over to play in the CJ 9 Bridges Classic, the anticipation was huge, and big crowds followed her everywhere she went. Alas, things did not go so well for the 14 year old prodigy, who shot an opening round 85 and ended up finishing dead last. You can tell it was not her favorite round of golf this year from this picture. Probably having fond thoughts of her Hawaiian home, Wiesy instead had to suffer through cool temperatures and a few too many errant drives. Still, she will not be playing too many tournaments for the next few months; plenty of time to hit the beach and forget about the 9 Bridges course. |
