Hole 7:
Two more good drives. Se Ri did not hit a great iron here, leaving her putt about 35 feet from the hole, but with a nasty downhill break. Nonetheless, she lagged it beautifully to two feet for another easy par. As you can see, she was not breaking too much of a sweat in saving par for the most part.

Hole 8 - 9:
The annoyance holes. In order to get to the 8th tee, you need to cross the 15th fairway. Naturally, they would not let us cross, because there were players on the 15th green putting out. We waited and waited as Se Ri drove and took off. Finally irritated beyond words, we took off down the fairway to go around the green and come up the other side. Well, when we got there we discovered that ropes prevented that, and furthermore sent you in the completely opposite direction of the 8th hole. Infuriating. By the time we negotiated all that and bought some food, Se Ri was done with both 8 and 9. Who sets up these traffic patterns!? #$%&^@

Hole 10:
The rains start, just like they had on Saturday at the tenth hole, and I could have sworn I heard some thunder as well. This is a long downhill par 5. Se Ri hit a great drive. She waited for the green to clear then smoked her second into the greenside bunker. She had a lot of green to work with, and put her sand shot to about three feet for an easy birdie. That's the way!

Hole 11:
Par 3. Se Ri hit a superlative iron here to about four feet. The rains were really coming down, and it was almost impossible to see anything around the green because of crowds and umbrellas. Saiki's tee shot went into the bunker, her out flew the flag by twenty feet, and she ended up with bogey. Se Ri inexplicably missed the birdie here; it looked like practically a gimme, especially considering the way she had been putting, but maybe the rains were affecting her a bit. Tap in par.

Hole 12:
Her drive here went a little to the right. It looked like it might have missed the fairway. But by this point my wife and I had had enough, and we reluctantly headed back to the car. If Se Ri had been a little closer to the lead I might have toughed it out, but she was still five shots back and it just didn't look likely she was going to make that up, even though she was playing well.

All in all, it was a pretty solid event for both Se Ri and Grace. While I was following Se Ri, Grace was shooting lights out on the front nine, climbing to 9 under and putting herself within striking distance of the leaders. Alas, that was all she was able to do, and ended up tied for third with Saiki, while Se Ri finished a couple of shots behind them in fifth. My feeling is that Se Ri is pretty close to reaching her dominating form that she often hits at the latter half of the season. When she gets there, we should be seeing a few wins from her. In the meantime, they are two and three on the money list, and continue to represent the Seoul Sisters very well indeed!
