Grace gets the 'Fierce Tiger' athletic award from the Korean Government

Last month Grace Park joined Se Ri Pak and Mi Hyun Kim in a special group: all of them have received awards from the Korean government for their successful efforts in raising the image of Korean athletes in the world community. Grace is in a specially unique position now. Days after getting this award, she received a huge vote of confidence from Nike when they signed her to a multi year deal. She may soon become the most famous Korean athlete in any sport worldwide.

Could Grace become a household name like Mia Hamm? Only time will tell. But she immediately proved herself a worthy ambassador for Korean athletes by contributing 100 million won to aid the victims of the Taegu subway disaster as her Nike contract was announced. The Korean government picked wisely in giving her this award!
